Metromix also happily take on tricky and unique jobs. A prime example is the relocation of the marquee at Taronga Zoo, for which we supplied 30m³ of concrete.
Despite the picturesque view of the Sydney Skyline and the background music of the zoo residents, Metromix had to focus on the tricky task ahead.
The challenge:
- Navigate a standard concrete truck through the narrow paths of the zoo to deliver material to the Concert Lawn Stage.
- Ensure minimal disturbance to the Taronga Zoo animals and the zoo environment.
- Comply with security measures and quarantine policies
- Navigate safely around pedestrian and zoo visitor activity.
The project was a success and resulted in a very happy customer. By understanding the project’s unique requirements and priorities, Metromix was able to complete the job safely and without disruption to the zoo operations.
